A Message from our founder and Director.
Thank you for your interest in our school, The Academy of Ability. When developing this site, I wanted the visitor to understand that the first and foremost important characteristic about our school is that we work closely and personally with each an every student and parent who we serve. So when we published this about us page, I felt it important to speak directly to you.
The Academy of Ability is our vision of a school that works to not only meet the academic needs for our students but also fosters independence in all areas of life skills. It is our belief that though academics are essential so to is the need to develop in physical, cognitive, and emotional skills for living. It is our job to create an environment that best fosters development in all areas. Our slogan is living and learning because learning to live is equally important as making the grade, if not more.
We current serve 25 students with a maximum enrollment of 30, we only have space for a few more precious kids. I have found that as a organization grows, it becomes increasingly difficult to maintain quality intervention and services. Therefore, we will continue to limit enrollment to ensure we can meet each enrolled students needs. We strive to be caring not corporate thus helping our kids feel comfortable and "at home". Together with high expectation our students have done amazing things and we only expect more as we continue to develop this unique program.
Once again, thank you for your visit to our site. Below is list of our current staff and selected bios. Also, if you have desire to know more about our school, please contact us by clicking on the button to the right.
