The Academy of Ability is a non-profit school for children with cerebral palsy and similar disabilities. Since opening the doors in 2009, the school was founded for the purpose of meeting the unique physical and academic needs of each student with special needs. Our goal is to create an environment of independence where every student is challenged to their maximum level of both physical and academic performance. Over the years we have seen miracles occurring each and every day with advancement in all areas of life skills. We currently have twenty five students and are loving every minute that we get to teach them to live and to learn.

The Academy of Ability is private not for profit school for children with physical and learning disabilities.  Founded in 2009, our program of education offers a specialized curriculum developed to meet not only the educational needs of the students we serve but also fosters the development of life skills essential for a more involved and independent life.

We strive to develop an individualized program of instruction to meet each child's needs and challenge each student to advance to meet his or her potential.  It is our belief that it is important to provide opportunities to participate in every area of life including community integration, independent living, performing arts, and sports and recreation.  From events like stage productions of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to Talent Shows to Proms of their own, our students take center stage in life and these opportunities build confidence for future success.

The Academy of Ability participates in the McKay Scholarship program.  We are an equal opportunity school and offer entrance to students independent of their ethnic, race, or religious preferences.  For more information on the curriculum and other useful links use the site navigator above.
